Week three in Olympia was marked by a full slate of committee hearings, executive sessions, and floor action. The first major cutoff is next Wednesday, February 4, when bills must be passed out of their policy committees in their house of origin to remain alive this session. Bills deemed necessary to implement the budget (NTIB), including all revenue proposals, are exempt from cutoff deadlines.
