Your Network is Only as Powerful as You Make It

The cleantech transition doesn't happen in silos. It happens when the right people find each other — when a project developer meets the right investor, when a policy wonk connects with an engineer who's already solved the problem they're wrestling with, when a startup discovers a potential customer three degrees away.

We've just launched a networking feature on the portal to make exactly that happen — and we need your help making it powerful from day one.

1. Log in (or register if you don't have an account yet!)
2. Click 'My Profile' in the upper right corner/next to the Avatar
   (HINT: add your headshot!)
   (2nd HINT: this is the fastest spot to see all the committees and groups you particpate on!)
3. Your account is defaulted to "Open' -a VISIBLE PROFILE for networking!
   Click 'Edit Profile' and choose 'my network only' if you wish to only be visible to folks at your own company or institution. 
4. Update any other details you wish to share -  you can list your LinkedIn profile - no need to duplicate it!

Your profile is your first handshake. When another member is looking for expertise, your name should come up — and when it does, your profile needs to do the talking. Five minutes to update it can open doors you didn't know were there.

This isn't LinkedIn. Everyone here already shares the same north star. You're not filtering through noise. You're connecting with people who understand why this work matters and are actively looking for collaborators, advisors, partners, and peers. The conversations that start here tend to go somewhere.

But only if the community shows up. The more members who log in, refresh their profiles, and start connecting, the more valuable this becomes for everyone. Tools like this are only as good as the people in them — and this community has the right people.
